We are one of the most prominent LICENSED cocoa exporters in Liberia, supplying both premium and conventional cocoa to international clients. Our premium supply chain is sourced from a select cooperative in Nimba county, Liberia, where we engage in the best organic agricultural practices, community engagement, investment in quality infrastructure, and organic certification.

GRANEX is headquartered in Paynesville, close to the capital city of Monrovia, Montserrado County, and sources cocoa primarily from Nimba County in the northwest region of Liberia. The company is a licensed cocoa exporter, having exported approximately 1,500 MT of cocoa in the 2019-22 seasons.

Our aim is to build a fully traceable and supply chain from farm to international buyer, and to see the benefits of cocoa trade shared fairly with the communities we work with. To achieve this, we are building up our premium supply chain to be certified to supply organic cocoa to our international clients.

We have implemented quality improvement measures such as premium organic Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) with a select farmer cooperative in Nimba county, rigorous traceability and transparency through our Internal Control System (ICS) including digital recordkeeping, and begun engaging with premium international buyers.

We aim to continuously improve on our sustainability commitments and to meet or exceed all of our sustainability goals. We aim to improve income generation opportunities for rural farmers and promote increased production of their local farm produce in the communities we work with by connecting to international markets that offer price premiums for quality, traceability, certification, and story. We encourage farmers to use environmentally sustainable production practices such as agroforestry and mandate women’s inclusion and integration throughout the supply chain.
